404 Songwriter turns a song or a music clip into a lyric video in minutes. Drop the song into the app: it separates the vocals from the music, recognises the lyrics (Whisper Large v3, about 100 languages, mixed-language songs included) and times every single word.

Drop the original lyrics too (TXT, LRC, SRT, DOCX…) and the app corrects the spelling to match them while keeping the sung timing. Pick a look from almost 50 presets with hundreds of karaoke, in/out, looping and 3D effects, then render a video that matches the preview exactly.

Export black-background MP4 or transparent MOV (ProRes 4444, PNG; HAP Alpha on macOS) at any pixel size up to 16384 px — made for LED walls, Resolume and video editing. Runs on macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10/11.

  • macOS 13.5 or later on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer)
  • Windows 10/11 64-bit (an NVIDIA card with CUDA 12 makes recognition faster)
  • 8 GB RAM or more, 16 GB recommended
  • About 5 GB of free disk space for the recognition models (downloaded once, then works offline)
  • Internet needed to activate a key; an activated computer works offline for up to 14 days
